The town says: "The Canton Water Department will repair a leak this morning at 251 Washington St.. There may be a disruption to water service while the pipe is being repaired.
"Water will be restored to full pressure after the repair is made.

Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, Democrat, and Charlie Baker, the Republican candidate, both marched in the Boston Gay Pride Parade today. Tim Cahill, the independent candidate, did not. His representatives (whatever that means) said he had another parade to attend. But looking at his website calendar, I see only one parade on his schedule for today, a Flag Day parade in Quincy from 7 to 9 p.m., hardly a reason not to march in a parade in Boston at noon time. Is one to draw inferences?

People from the gas company are coming and going across the street. They have been there so many times in the past. What is it all about? Do they ever accomplish anything? Are they going through motions for the sake of going through motions? Is there a real problem? Is somebody nutty? Is there going to be an explosion some day? I don't know.
