Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, Democrat, and Charlie Baker, the Republican candidate, both marched in the Boston Gay Pride Parade today. Tim Cahill, the independent candidate, did not. His representatives (whatever that means) said he had another parade to attend. But looking at his website calendar, I see only one parade on his schedule for today, a Flag Day parade in Quincy from 7 to 9 p.m., hardly a reason not to march in a parade in Boston at noon time. Is one to draw inferences?

I often hear a dog barking, even in the house with all the doors and windows closed. It is not so bad that I would file a complaint with the animal officer, but the thought does cross my mind from time to time.
