Re: Acct. # [redacted]
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing in response to your statement of 2/22/2011 that I received in the mail yesterday. As I have previously indicated to you, I have already paid you in full.
I wrote to you on January 14:
I am enclosing herewith a print-out from [redacted] Bank that shows that a check to you in the amount of $86.34 cleared on 12/01/2010.
Since your November statement showed a balance of $86.34 and your December statement showed a balance of $85.00, it is obvious that something must have happened for you to have changed the amount of the outstanding balance. The obvious inference is that you received my payment of $86.34 and recorded it incorrectly.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have received no response to the voicemail message that I left on or about 4:07 p.m. on December 23, 2010.
Your statement to me of 12/13/2010, which I received in the mail on December 23, shows a 30-day-past-due balance of $85.00. The $85.00 item appears to be the one of 5/6/2010 that was included on your previous statement of 11/12/2010 for a total amount of $86.34. I gave my bank on November 19 instructions to send you a payment of $86.34.
I am enclosing herewith a print-out from [redacted] Bank that shows that a check to you in the amount of $86.34 cleared on 12/01/2010.
